Title: "Oh Rey"

With "Oh Rey," I wanted to create a character who is funny, naïve, and a little royal—a king who wields a spray can.
This is my way of paying homage to the graffiti world, where the tool of creation becomes a symbol of power.
The pencils in the background, almost totems, evoke for me childhood, imagination, and the freedom to draw one’s own world.
"Oh Rey" is a wink to those who own their crown, with humor and sincerity.

Meushay is a French graffiti artist born in 1974 in Vitry-sur-Seine and active since the 1990s. He is famous for his emblematic character, the orange "Le Meushon" with big teeth, which he began to paint on the streets of Paris and its suburbs, creating a true "Meushay Invasion." Trained in graphic art, he later translated his colorful universe and his character onto canvases, displayed in galleries. Meushay is a notable figure of French street art, particularly present in Vitry-sur-Seine.
