An ironic and contemporary revisitation of an iconic historical scene: Mickey Mouse in the role of Napoleon Bonaparte, depicted in the solemn style of period paintings. The work plays on the contrast between classical painting language and the intrusion of a pop icon, creating a visual short circuit that unites history, pop culture, and parody. Realized in 2025, it is part of a sold-out series dedicated to irreverent re-interpretations of collective symbols.

This new work springs from the creativity of French artist Louis Dourand, known for having collaborated in the past with Santicri, in an artistic dialogue that has managed to fuse different visual languages into a shared expressive vision. Santicri – with whom Louis Dourand has collaborated on several occasions – is one of the most established contemporary artists on the international scene.
He has exhibited his works in prestigious venues such as Palazzo Grillo in Genoa in 2022 and the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York in 2023.
In 2024 he was recognized among the Best-Selling Artists by Artmayeur and entered the top 3 of the most sought-after artists on Catawiki, alongside names such as Kaws and Banksy.
