Description from the seller
Thought Rain — Original Painting, 100 × 80 cm
"Thought Rain" is a work from the context of my studies and immediate studio processes. The painting condenses a multifaceted, almost drawing-like structure into a calm, at once moving surface.
Fine, vertical lines run through the composition like traces of an inner flow. They resemble falling rain or fleeting notations, lending the work a subtle dynamism. The overlaying, glazing color layers — in warm, restrained tones — create depth and allow the individual layers to merge with one another.
As a study, the work arises in an open, intuitive process. It serves not only as an experimental field for structure and rhythm but possesses its own artistic completeness. Condensation and dissolution stand in a sensitive balance.
A single, lightly accented area of color provides a conscious counterpoint within the calm overall surface and guides the eye without restricting the openness of the composition.
"Thought Rain" makes the creative process visible and stands as an example for works in which idea and execution meet directly.
