The image of the whole wall represents the passage of the artwork from the external wall to the interior space of buildings. What is born on the street, in the urban and public context, is transferred inside buildings, homes or museums, completely changing the environment and meaning. In this case, the most interesting section of wall is selected and cut, the one on which the street artist had carried out the external intervention. The fragment is then detached from the original street context and transformed into an autonomous object. Once the cut is made, this piece of wall can be moved and placed inside: in homes, in buildings, in museums or in other edifices. In this way the work changes environment and function, moving from the public and everyday space of the street to a private or institutional space, where it is preserved and displayed as a true artistic object. All of this represents a kind of imagined reconstruction by the artist, reflecting on the process of moving the work from the urban context to the domestic or museum context.
