AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Rare, very large etching of the Martinitoren in Groningen. Although the tower is the focal point, the Grote Markt does it justice; it is market day and there is a great deal of activity at the stalls.
Manufactured by Eugène Lücker (Roermond 09-07-1876 – Nijmegen 30-05-1943), etcher and painter of mainly urban and village landscapes. He was also a drawing teacher at the St. Canisiuscollege in Nijmegen. In 1936, in his birthplace Roermond, an honorary exhibition of his work was held on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday.
Etching 57.7 x 28.3 cm, lower right signed Eugène Lücker fecit, behind a cream mat behind glass in a narrow walnut frame of 76 x 44 cm.
In excellent condition.
Dating 1910-1920.
