Vintage Columbus Aardglobe Duplex globe, produced by Columbus Verlag Paul Oestergaard

The globes were manufactured by the German company Columbus Verlag, founded in 1908.

The Duplex model is known as a two-image system, where the globe shows both a political map and a physical map, often depending on whether the lamp inside is on or off.

In good vintage condition, with light signs of use and some spots. Small dent at the Altai Mountains.
Lamp works. These specific globes are often made of shatter-resistant plastic or acrylic.

De wereldbollen werden vervaardigd door het Duitse bedrijf Columbus Verlag, opgericht in 1908.

Het model "Duplex" staat bekend als een tweebeeldsysteem, waarbij de globe zowel een politieke als een natuurkundige kaart toont, vaak afhankelijk van of de lamp erin aan of uit is. 

In goede vintage conditie, met lichte gebruikssporen en vlekjes. Klein deukje ter hoogte van Altai gebergte.
Lamp werkt. Deze specifieke globes zijn vaak gemaakt van breukvast kunststof of acryl.
