Description from the seller

Beautifully refined neo-Gothic crown, crafted from gold-plated copper and richly adorned with colored faceted stones (glass/strass).

This decorative object shows clear characteristics of 19th-century Neo-Gothic, with elegant floral motifs, openwork structures, and symmetrical ornamentation. The combination of deep colors (red, blue, green) with the warm gilded surface gives the whole a particularly luxurious appearance.

The crown presumably served a religious or ceremonial decorative function, possibly as part of ecclesiastical furnishings, a devotional statue (for example Madonna or saint’s crown), or as a historicizing decorative object from the 19th century.

A characterful and decorative collectible that will appeal to both lovers of religious art and collectors of antiques and Neo-Gothic objects.
