The work presents two ancient vases. Inspired by vitreous and ceramic artifacts from the Roman era, laid on a light surface that fades into a neutral, luminous background.

The black vase on the left: a broad-bodied amphora with low handles, recalling the black-glazed ceramic of ancient tradition.
The surface is glossy, almost metallic, and reflects light with decisive white brushstrokes that emphasize its roundness and solid volume.
The glass vase on the right represents the technical heart of the painting. It is a Roman glass ampoule in blue-amber glass, rendered with extraordinary mastery of transparency.
Through the walls of the vase one glimpses the deposit at the bottom.
