Black Heart is part of Natali Wood's work around wood, fire, and slow processes. Beech, a nearby and everyday wood, is transformed here into a matrix through Yakisugi, incorporating time and the burn mark into the engraving process itself. Each piece preserves slight variations that are part of its artisanal character.
