Description from the seller
Sunset on the beach
Description of the work
Original work in a contemporary naïf style that represents a everyday scene on a beach at sunset, where different characters share a moment of calm facing the sea. The composition is structured around small simultaneous stories: strolls, encounters, children's games and conversations that coexist in the same space, generating an open and intimate narrative.
The coastal landscape, with the sea calm and the sky in pink tones typical of twilight, envelops the scene in a serene and luminous atmosphere. The light of the sunset acts as a unifying element, bringing warmth and reinforcing the sense of pause, of suspended time.
The figures, represented with a simple and expressive language characteristic of naïf style, convey naturalness and closeness. Each character seems to be part of their own story, but at the same time contributes to a collective scene that speaks of coexistence, encounters and the beauty of everyday life.
Elements such as the shack beside the sea or the pennants add a subtle symbolic component. The pennants suggest celebration and community, while the simple architecture recalls a familiar and recognizable environment, reinforcing the emotional connection with the viewer.
The presence of adults and children introduces an intergenerational dimension that underlines the universal character of the scene: simple moments that, though not extraordinary, become meaningful memories.
The work is situated within contemporary figurative art with a personal naïf language, valuing everyday life, coexistence and the poetry of shared moments by the sea.
