Undated, but this is the first edition from 1926, characterized by a stunning illustrated cover.
It is an anthology of rhyming fairy tales populated by insects (primarily butterflies), flowers and other creatures, written and illustrated by 12 full-page color lithographs by the great Swiss entomologist-painter Ernst Kreidolf. Illustrated title page.
Dimensions: about 32 x 26 cm.

Condition: very good. Intact, with the illustrations in excellent condition, with bright colors, beautiful. Binding a little loose at the endpapers, a few small light stains, a tiny tear at the top edge of a page, a very slight, almost imperceptible central crease to the pages. Cover with minimal signs of wear. Illustration on the front board perfect."
