Description from the seller
Bruno Paolo Benedetti, born in 1954, began taking photographs in 1968, studying perspective and photographic techniques. From the beginning he was concerned with black-and-white photography, observing the contrasts of nature, the lights, and interpreting the reality around him. When he was 25 he began to work in the darkroom, enhancing his technique using filters and high-contrast films to make his first surreal and abstract photographs. At the same time he started traveling around Europe and the world: India, Nepal, Bhutan, South America, South Africa, Egypt, the Comoros Islands are some of the places he has visited. The study of the religions, the mysticism in all of them, inspired his artistic production, especially his surreal photography, where cultural and religious archetypes are depicted.
