Russian Lacquer Wooden Box – “Troika” Scene (Fedoskino-style)

This is a traditional Russian lacquered wooden box featuring a painted “Troika” (three horses pulling a sleigh) scene.

The piece is made of wood with a lacquered finish and shows a classic Russian folk-art style. The lid is decorated with a hand-painted “Troika” composition and marked with the inscription: “Troika Fedoskino (Fed.)”. On the reverse side there are initials “L.M.”.

The attribution likely relates to the Fedoskino-style miniature painting tradition, known for its lacquered decorative boxes and folk scenes.
