Description from the seller
Seiko Think the Earth WN-1: A Planet on Your Wrist
This watch is far more than a timepiece; it is a work of art that embodies the philosophy of connectedness with our planet. Born from a vision to feel time in the rhythm of the Earth, the WN-1 offers an unparalleled visual experience.
The Features (Outstanding Features):
The rotating Earth (The Hemisphere): At the center is a detailed 3D reproduction of the Northern Hemisphere. It rotates – like the real Earth – once every 24 hours against the dial. The watch was officially introduced on February 19, 2001 – a symbolic date honoring the birthday of the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus.
Strict Limited Edition: The WN-1 is not a mass-produced item, but a coveted collector’s piece. Production was limited to a small number (some editions even worldwide to only 1,200 pieces), which makes it a true rarity on the international watch market today.
Clockwise.
Intuitive Time Display:
Hours: A silver indicator that moves with the Earth’s rotation shows the current hour on the 24-hour bezel.
Minutes: A small orange dot orbits the dial clockwise and provides precision.
Masterful Materials: The case is made of high-quality brushed titanium, which, despite its striking presence (45 mm diameter), makes the watch surprisingly light and comfortable to wear.
Hardlex Dome Crystal: A specially curved Hardlex crystal protects the “Earth” and gives the watch a futuristic, almost sculptural look reminiscent of an observatory.
Glass Bent Hardlex Crystal
Diameter 45 mm
Feature 24-Hour Earth Rotation
