About Olga Gamy:

I have loved painting and drawing since my childhood, and this passion has only grown over the years. Holding a degree in fine arts, I have devoted the last 15 years to creating works that explore the beauty and complexity of the world around us. Today, my paintings are exhibited in galleries in Barcelona and cherished by private collectors around the world.

For me, each painting is an exciting adventure, a journey toward unique emotions and experiences. Nature, with its vibrant plants, ever-changing skies, water, light, and shadows, is my greatest source of inspiration. I seek to capture these ephemeral moments, the atmosphere and the emotions, through my perspective and share them with the world.

I love experimenting with different media and styles, whether landscape, abstraction, or digital illustration. While many of my works are inspired by reference photos, others draw on personal experiences and memories. My preferred tools remain oil and acrylic paints, but I continually explore new materials to express my creativity.

This series in particular has been deeply influenced by Barcelona. Its diverse textures, bold forms and blocks of color — combined with the vastness of the sky and the rhythm of sunsets and sunrises — have all left a lasting imprint on me. These elements are now part of the visual language I use in my work, echoing the energy and contrasts of the city.

While working with oil paint, I build my pieces layer by layer — each color overlaying the others like life events, eventually forming a final image. Each layer carries meaning, and I love how they subtly shine through one another. I explore textures, giving each layer a unique presence.
