Midleton Very Rare 2017 - 70cl

Fantastic whiskey from Midleton, part of the Very Rare series created in 1984 by then Master Distiller Barry Crockett. This 2017 edition contains the oldest whiskeys used in the blend so far: a 26-year-old single pot still whiskey and a 32-year-old grain whiskey. The blend consists of a total of whiskeys from 12 to 32 years old, all of which are matured in ex-bourbon barrels.

This is an intensely aromatic whiskey with notes of floral honey, crispy apples, mangoes, vanilla cookies and a hint of citrus. These aromas are also reflected in the taste, where they are supplemented with toffee and herbs, especially ginger. Midleton Very Rare 2017 is a delicious dram and an excellent gift for any lover of Irish whiskey.
