Description from the seller
G for Gaudí — The Artphabet
Edition 1/10 — 60 x 60 cm
This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project developed by digital artist Cess, in which each letter of the alphabet pays homage to key figures in art, architecture, and visual culture.
In this piece, the letter G is transformed into a tribute to Antoni Gaudí, reinterpreting his unmistakable architectural language based on organic shapes, fluid structures, and a deep connection with nature. The typography becomes a living sculpture that evokes the sinuous geometries characteristic of Catalan Modernism.
The surface of the letter is built using a three-dimensional mosaic inspired by the trencadís technique, where irregular fragments of ceramic create a vibrant skin, rich in color and texture. Blues, turquoises, yellows, and ochres combine to recreate the Mediterranean essence present in many of Gaudí’s works.
The composition incorporates biomorphic elements that suggest organic growth, reinforcing the idea of architecture as an extension of nature. The form flows continuously, without rigid lines, generating a sense of movement and structural harmony.
The work has been created through a completely digital 3D process (CGI), handcrafted with special attention to detail, materiality, and the interaction of light on the fragmented surfaces, achieving a highly expressive and contemporary sculptural aesthetic.
The Artphabet has had wide international reach, being disseminated in numerous design, art, and visual culture media, establishing itself as one of the most prominent projects of artistic typography in the recent digital sphere.
Cess is an artist specializing in digital art, CGI, and artificial intelligence, with an established track record in the creative sector, having collaborated with international brands such as Apple, Google, Prada, Vogue, and MTV, among others.
The work is presented in high-quality Giclée printing on poly/cotton canvas, ensuring excellent reproduction of detail, texture, and the chromatic richness of the original digital work.
