Pair of glass paperweights from Italy, estimated period 1960–1970, made of glass, in very good condition with minor signs of wear and aging.
Description from the seller
This pair of artistic glass paperweights represents an excellent example of “close packed” millefiori work, characterized by a high density of murrine arranged according to a precise geometric structure.
The larger piece features an extremely elaborate concentric composition, with a rich layering of floral elements and rosette motifs, distributed radially around a central core. The optical depth and the transparency of the glass amplify the three-dimensional effect of the decoration.
The second paperweight, smaller in size, shows a compact and harmonious configuration with a blue-green color dominance, framed by a pink peripheral band in vertical murrine.
Both specimens display meticulous workmanship, with minimal air inclusions typical of artisanal production, and a smooth base.
Attributed to European production in the 20th century, these objects fit into the tradition of decorative high-quality paperweights, highly appreciated by collectors for the complexity and density of the internal design.
Very good condition, without significant structural defects.
