Ardbeg 1998 Almost There - 3rd Release - b. 2007 - 70cl

Ardbeg Almost There is the third release in the series of bottles distilled in 1998, following the distillery takeover by Glenmorangie. Starting with the Ardbeg Very Young bottled in 2004, the series shows a work in progress over 10 years, climaxing with Ardbeg Renaissance, bottled in 2008. This is a very approachable dram, with a more pronounced sweetness sitting well alongside the lemon, brine and smoke that characterise the younger bottlings from the series.
