Description from the seller
Description of the work
Work by Sandra Fontenas, French visual artist, born in 1973 in La Rochelle.
Title: Anatomy of a Blue
Year of creation: 2024
Year of print run: 2026
Process & technique:
Professional laboratory photo printing, on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Supreme Lustre 220 g/m² silver-halide paper.
The work was created digitally using generative artificial intelligence software, through the composition of precise textual descriptions (prompts). Each composition results from an iterative process: formulation, generation, selection and refinement, until the desired result is obtained.
Edition: 1/10 — print run limited to 10 copies.
Each print is hand-signed by the artist and numbered on the back, ensuring authenticity and traceability within the limited edition.
Provenance: Direct sale by the artist. Sandra is also represented by WeAreNewComers (Paris) and Desyre.ai (Dubai & Germany), and regularly exhibits at Galerie ADOR Experience (Île de Ré, France).
Documentation: Certificate of authenticity included, available in paper form or by email.
Condition: Excellent condition.
Framing: Unframed — ready to frame. The artist recommends a presentation with a wide, or even extra-wide mat, which gives the image additional depth and breathing room. This suggestion is, of course, optional—the work adapts to all presentation choices.
Format: 40 × 30 cm.
Shipping: Professional packaging with non-pilling cotton gloves — shipping worldwide.
About the artist
Sandra Fontenas is a French visual artist whose practice sits at the boundary between the real and the imaginary. Having trained in interior design, she developed from an early stage a keen sense of composition and atmosphere, before turning to photography, the medium through which her need to create was born.
Today, she explores generative AI as a plastic material in its own right—guiding, shaping and molding artificial intelligence to extract images that exist nowhere else but in her imagination. She defines herself as an AI-graphic artist: a photographer of the mind, who captures not the present moment, but the dreamed moment.
Her universe, deeply inspired by surrealism, conjures light, texture and emotion to give form to a dreamlike and sensuous aesthetic. The feminine, the intimate, the body and identity are at the heart of her compositions, treated with a subtle poetry that blurs the lines between softness and power, reality and metamorphosis.
Each work is offered in a limited edition, signed and numbered — an invitation to acquire a unique image born from a dialogue between the artist and the machine, where the human touch remains, always, first.
Her works are shown in the ADOR Experience galleries in La Rochelle and on Île de Ré, and are available internationally on Catawiki.
