Description from the seller
Better in Black NO.21
For sale is an impressive abstract artwork in black-and-white, the minimalism that immediately catches the eye.
An impressive abstract work that conjures the raw essence of tangled roots in deep, smudged shadows.
Textures break through the dark canvas, creating a mysterious atmosphere of untold stories.
A deep black lays over white structure. The side edges have been incorporated into the image. Therefore, a shadow gap frame is not strictly necessary.
A painting by the artist that was made exclusively for the Catawiki Selection.
Acrylic on canvas, the unique piece is signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
The painting will be shipped rolled (without canvas stretcher) to keep shipping costs down. Each work is made with high-quality materials and is finished with a protective, slightly glossy final varnish.
This piece is ideal for a frame of the size
150x90x1.5 cm
The depicted shadow gap frame is for illustration only.
All works by the artist are unique. They are handmade paintings created using various techniques. The photos are not edited, though slight color variations may occur due to photography. The cracks, gouges, ridges, and paint splatters are part of the painting style. They are not defects and are intentional by the artist.
ARTIST
MANUELA Decker
The native Swabian woman now lives and works as a freelance artist and creativity coach with her family in Osnabrück. Her works are now represented in private collections worldwide. Interior consultants value collaborating with her. She still refers to herself as a self-taught artist. Despite various study programs, for her the self-learning through experiments and continuous practice is in the foreground and shapes her works. For Ganter, independently acquired skills express strength. Many of her works reflect feelings and intersections of her life.
"When life finally merges with art, influencing each other, the most beautiful images are created" - Manuela Decker
