Alessandro Gorgone, known by the stage name Ago, was born in 1971 in Sicily. 
Alongside scientific activity, Alessandro Gorgone pursues a personal artistic research in painting, developed in parallel to biomedical laboratory work. His painting practice is based on an expressive use of color and the layering of forms, in a continuous dialogue between method, observation, and creative freedom. 
Ago's inspiration comes from the synthesis of images, which he reworks into compositions resembling confetti, characterized by an overlaying of colors. Acrylic on gessoed canvas 100 x 100, an abstract work with strong references to constructivist style and urban aesthetics.

Accanto all’attività scientifica, Alessandro Gorgone porta avanti una ricerca artistica personale nel campo della pittura, sviluppata in parallelo al lavoro di laboratorio biomedico. La sua pratica pittorica si fonda su un uso espressivo del colore e sulla stratificazione delle forme, in un dialogo continuo tra metodo, osservazione e libertà creativa.
L’ispirazione di Ago deriva dalla sintesi delle immagini, che rielabora in composizioni simili a coriandoli, caratterizzate da una sovrapposizione di colori.      Acrilico su tela gessata 100x 100  quadro astratto con forti richiami allo stile costruttivista e all'estetica urbana.
