The style of this Tapestry can be defined as a Pastoral Subject (or Gallant Scene) in a Neo‑Rococo taste.

Although produced in 1890, late 19th century.

The style is not "modern" for the era, but a revival.
It is directly inspired by French painting of the 18th century (the eighteenth century), particularly by artists such as François Boucher and Jean‑Honore Fragonard. In the Belle Époque, there was a strong desire to return to the aristocratic elegance of the past to decorate the salons of the new bourgeoisie.

A unique piece of furniture, the back structure of the Tapestry is the original one, which has kept the fabric well stretched all this time (important for its preservation).
