Description from the seller
Directly from the gallery "D uli - Arts"
This artwork is from the series "Homage a Yves Klein"
Yves Klein was, with Andy Warhol and Jeff Koons, one of the co-founders of Pop Art.
His unforgettable "Blue Quadrat" with the most beautiful and intense blue I have ever seen.
All objects have been handmade by me with elaborate, time-consuming craftsmanship.
Hand-signed
Rib sculpture cast from ceramic (I think, therefore I am) 24/11/10 cm in matte ultramarine blue
on a black base
Total weight approx. 1.5 kg
My artworks are presented at art fairs such as Cologne, Dresden, Frankfurt, Paris, Luxembourg, Hamburg, Munich, Monaco, Strasbourg, Lyon...
My Pop Art combines art and everyday life. An elementary characteristic of Pop Art is the often trivial objects known from daily life, from popular culture, media and advertising. The motifs used are torn from their original context, altered by me, and thereby gain a new life as a "work of art"
