- I created my image for Falen Art to build a unique, modern, and elegant visual identity capable of representing my artistic work and values.
After studies in graphic design in Namur and a strong taste for travel and cultural diversity, Natalie Matis’s vocation for porcelain began in China during a journey.
Upon returning to Belgium, she joined the Porcepolis workshop in Brussels, where she deepened her particular taste for porcelain; she loves this material for its whiteness, its nobility, its translucence, its intimacy with glaze, and its softness.
She offers a range of decorative objects with a minimalist design.
For several years, Nathalie Matis has perfected her study of ceramics in various workshops and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braine l’Alleud with ceramist Geert van Der Borght.
Passionate about ceramics, she explores various techniques autodidactically and has a marked fascination with raku, a mysterious meeting of mastery and randomness, a fragile adventure between the ceramicist’s dream and metamorphosis.
