Description from the seller
William Victor Aubert (1856–1942)
Nasturtiums in Bloom, 1937
Oil on cardboard depicting a lively garden of nasturtiums, characterized by a close, decorative composition, where rounded deep green leaves contrast with flowers in warm red-orange and yellow tones. The brushwork is textured and dynamic, typical of the artist's painterly sensibility.
Work monogrammed “W.A.” in the lower right and signed and dated on the back “William Aubert, 1937”, with handwritten notes relating to the subject.
Technique: oil on cardboard
Dimensions without frame: 30 × 24 cm
Dimensions with frame: 34 × 28 cm
Good overall condition, with slight signs of time and use consistent with the period. Frame included.
The artwork will be packed with the utmost care using professional materials. However, postal shipping, while a cost-effective option, is not the most suitable method for transporting artworks and cannot guarantee freedom from damage, especially for works on delicate supports.
On request, it is possible to obtain a quote for transport via professional art-shipping couriers.
Speditions, even within the European Union, may involve longer delivery times and the possible application of duties or import fees.
Pickup in Geneva is always the safest and recommended option.
In case of return (wrong address, non-payment, customs duties rejection, etc.), return and reshipment costs will be borne by the buyer.
Combined shipments available on request.
