Description from the seller
Mikhail Gorbachev made a historic state visit to Italy between 29 November and 1 December 1989, immediately after the fall of the Berlin Wall. During the visit, he met with Italian leaders in the city of Rome, with outstanding international prestige, strengthening the relationship between the Soviet Union and Italy in times of change.
The visit strengthened the dialogue between the USSR and the West and symbolized the improvement of Italian-Soviet relations and the reduction of Cold War tensions.
This Vostok watch was made to commemorate this and it's a rare, collector's Soviet watch, worn only on a few occasions. This watch has a completely new leather strap, serviced 6 months ago and is impeccable technical condition. It's in great demand among thematic or sovjet watch collectors.
