A stylish and unusual architectural view of Rio de Janeiro under the Full Moon light. Image created in 2007 from a tall roof top in Copacabana beach looking towards the Sugarloaf mountain. Provenance from the artist studio. Print no 2 from a small limited edition of 20 artworks.
The print has an embossed artist stamp on recto and is signed & numbered on verso. The lot includes a signed & numbered Certificate of Authenticity. Due to the large size, the print will be shipped rolled in a super strong art tube - tracked and fully insured - protected in acid free materials.
Lichtenberg's moonlight images are present in numerous art collections worldwide. They have recently received an honorary mention by Marion Tandé of MoMA NY and been selected for many international awards including: The Renaissance Photography Prize, International Coloraturas Awards, Aesthetica Art Prize and Life Framer.
André Lichtenberg work has been exhibited in museums and private galleries worldwide, including the Barbican Centre London in 1998, Centre Pompidou/IRCAM, Paris in 2015/16 and Fabrica, Brighton in 2018. His artworks are represented in numerous international art collections including a recent acquisition by the prestigious Joseph Cohen Family Collection in NY.
