Javi Villarroel Seoane presents Afrodita, a contemporary steel sculpture (60 cm high, 39 cm wide, 14 cm deep) finished in black and silver, hand-signed, created in 2026 by JVSculptures in Spain.
Description from the seller
The sculptor Javi Villarroel Seoane reinterprets in this work the goddess Aphrodite, timeless symbol of beauty, love, and harmony, guiding her into a deep dialogue between the classical and the contemporary.
Her complex creation does not go unnoticed: the sculpture is built from dozens of pieces with labyrinthine shapes, assembled with precision and individually elaborated, revealing a meticulous and deeply artisanal process. Each fragment occupies not only a physical space but also serves a narrative function within the whole, generating a sense of organic movement and constant transformation.
The play of light and shadow becomes an essential element of the work: it not only emphasizes the volumes but also adds dynamism where perception changes according to the angle and light intensity. This interaction endows the piece with a living presence, capable of dialoguing with the viewer at every glance.
Beyond its visual impact, the work invites reflection on the fragmentation of beauty in contemporary times: a reconstructed Aphrodite from multiple perspectives, suggesting that perfection does not lie in classical unity, but in the complexity and diversity of its parts.
