Art Deco 'Cloud Glass' bowl – George Davidson & Co – model 9421 – purple – circa 1930
A beautiful original Art Deco bowl from the well-known British glass company George Davidson & Co., produced around 1930. This model (No. 9421) is finished in the characteristic cloud glass: semi-transparent glass with a marbled, wavy pattern in purple/pink tones. The combination of the fan-shaped relief in the center and the broad, flowing rim creates an elegant and quintessential Art Deco design. Davidson was known for its innovative pressed glass, and this bowl is a fine example of that — decorative and collectible.
Condition: Excellent. No chips or cracks. Minor discoloration visible in the center of the bowl under certain light. Not conspicuous. See photos.
