Old german 4/4 violin, made in Mittenwald, labelled: Aegidius Kloz in Mittenwalde anno 1795.

The instrument remains in a very good ready to play condition with only one repaired crack on the top, right to tailpiece. Good ebony set up, interesting bridge and new strings.
The ribs, scroll, one-piece back made of beautiful strongly flamed maple.
The top of straight high grained spruce.
The original golden amber varnish remains in good condition.

LOB measures 355 mm. The total length of the violin is 588 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 163 mm; middle bouts: 110 mm; lower bouts: 200 mm.
