Description from the seller

Vintage yellow gold scarab-shaped pendant. The pendant is adorned with a round faceted ruby of about 0.17 ct, set in an open setting, and 5 single-cut diamonds totaling about 0.025 ct, in pavé. The scarab is highly detailed, with perforated elements and meticulous design.

The scarab was regarded as a sacred animal in Egyptian mythology. Khepri was the god of the rising sun, who created a new sun each day, so to speak. The dung balls, produced and rolled by these scarabs, were also associated with the sun due to their shape, and consequently with Khepri.

Pendant dimensions: about 27 x 17 mm
Ruby diameter: about 3 mm

Diamond specification:
Shape: single-cut
Size: 5x about 0.005 ct (total about 0.025 ct)
Clarity: SI1 / SI2
Color: G / H
