Original work from Natali Wood's "Footprints of the Forest" series.

This print is made from the direct impression of real cherry wood, capturing the complexity of its grain, cracks, and growth rings that reflect the passage of time and the tree's history.

The artisanal process is inspired by the Japanese technique Yakisugi, where fire reveals the wood's inner structure. Afterwards, the surface is inked and carefully transferred onto paper.

In this piece, the use of silver ink adds a special dimension to the work: depending on the light, the surface reflects changing nuances that enhance the texture of the engraving and create a subtle and elegant presence.

The cherry, associated with ephemeral beauty and the cycle of life, is presented here as a unique footprint, where nature and time are imprinted on the paper.
