Verssan finds in pastel a way to make the body his own through games of curves, hollows and fills, shadows and light by rubbing, blending and blowing the material on paper. The artist treats his subjects using tonal variations while playing with the color of the support in warm gray tones, revealing both softness and delicacy but also strength and virility.
