AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Antique cachepot or wooden log tub, 19th century (1800-1900) and entirely made of copper. Decorated all around, with two lion heads and fleur-de-lis. The material has developed a beautiful even dark patina, with striking accents from the remnants of old copper polish.

Originally the pot was used as a cachepot (outer pot) for plants. The bottom is no longer waterproof, which is why this pot was later used as a bin for fireplace wood. Which, due to its fairly large size, still works perfectly. This cachepot or wood-log bin is a beautiful antique and decorative item for the home, certainly given its age and characterful condition.

Dimensions;
- top diameter 34 cm
- width including lion heads 38 cm
- depth 24 cm
- height 32 cm
- weight approximately 3.6 kg (3574 grams)

The cachepot has been well cared for over many years, but also visibly used. This is evident from the dents and other signs of wear, including repairs to the bottom at the feet. The pot still sits firmly on its feet and the overall condition is fair to good.
