Biography
Andrea Giorgi (born 1974), Italian artist, began his career as an interior designer for over ten years, then specialized in interior design for megayachts. Since 2008 he has been among the pioneers of digital art in Italy, bringing his works to fairs and international exhibitions. Some of his works decorate the interiors of luxury yachts, while one of his pieces was acquired by Ferrero, entering a prestigious private collection of contemporary art.
Since 2016 he has also dedicated himself to digital sculpture, with works now in collections around the world. He was one of the first sculptors to propose his creations on Catawiki, introducing subjects and styles — such as boxers, figures emerging from magazines and walls, and lattice sculptures — which later inspired numerous artists active on the platform.
Giorgi designs every sculpture entirely in 3D and produces them in Italy using various printing technologies. Laser-printed works are finished and hand-colored by the artist, while the more exclusive series are cast in bronze using lost-wax casting in collaboration with a renowned Italian foundry. His philosophy, matured in the luxury world, is clear: “LESS IS MORE.” For this reason his annual production is deliberately limited, as is the number of works put up for auction each week.
Andrea Giorgi’s sculptures are rare and represent an exclusive of Collection, the contemporary art gallery founded by the artist in 2015. The gallery deals with works by young Italian and European talents, as well as works by established artists such as Rabarama, Walter Valentini, Piero Gilardi, Aubertin, Roberta Coni, Annalù Boeretto, Salvatore Provino, Paolo Radi, Ceribelli, Giuseppe Amadio, Riccardo Gusmaroli, Giorgio Gost, Invader, Kaws and many others.
