Large Italian-made box in solid 925 silver with walnut burl, dating to 1950–1960, measurements 26 × 14 × 7 cm, weight about 1.1 kg, in good condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Box from the 1930s/1940s, made entirely of 925 silver and burl wood.
The box is large and entirely handmade, featuring covers on all sides made of solid sheets of hand-engraved 925 silver, the largest on the lid with floral subjects and interlacing.
All in walnut burl, a hard and heavy wood intended to endure over time.
Internally it presents an original compartment with suede lining and a ring holder.
Ideal for all uses, a piece of great quality; we are not talking about commercial products, but objects from a now-vanished Made in Italy, destined to tell stories upon stories.
Both weight and dimensions are important, over 1 kg in weight and generous measurements 26X14X70.
The box is in good condition, with the classic and normal wear of time and use; in fact, it was part of the furnishings of a notary’s office, well displayed on the desk of a very famous Neapolitan notary, this to give the idea that we are talking about a precious object, I wonder how many things it has seen in its life :-)
Tracked and insured shipping, duties not included.
