"Overdose of the world". 100x70, soft pastels and pastel pencils.
An original work where I set aside the accuracy of hyper-realistic detail and focused on the effect and impact of light and shadow so that it would be clear even from a distance.
Finally, to briefly describe the title, I wanted to depict an angel whose soul is torn between the salvation of earthly goods and vices, with the most common dependencies typical of the human being, from gambling, to money, to lust, drugs, alcohol, etc... the rest of the elements I leave for you to interpret! But as long as we remain chained to these weights that keep us planted to the ground, we will never take flight toward the true nature of happiness.
