Description from the seller
Antique Oak Wine Rack / Side Table — Arts & Crafts — ca. 1900–1920 — English craftsmanship
A Century of refinement in solid oak
This elegant wine rack with wooden baleinen is an authentic example of the Arts & Crafts movement, the influential English design current that around the turn of the century (1900–1920) elevated honest craftsmanship above mass production.
Every detail reveals the hand of a craftsman: the gracefully curved crown, the centrally placed turned finial, the organically carved bottle holders and the slender, rhythmically arranged spindles.
CONSTRUCTION & MATERIALS
Made from solid oak — no veneer, no particle board, no compromises. The wood joints are still solid after more than a hundred years.
This is proof that quality withstands the test of time.
FUNCTION & VERSATILITY
The rack offers space for 6 bottles of wine on two lying levels, with a broad open shelf at the bottom — suitable as a side table, decorative piece, or functional wine rack. Compact in size, grand in presence.
CONDITION
The warm, deep brown hues of the oak are the result of more than a century of careful use.
The patina is authentic and unrestored — exactly what a connoisseur expects.
No cracks, no breaks, no instability.
Mechanical condition: 10/10.
Aesthetic condition: gorgeous authentic patina, minimal signs of use.
