“SONO” is a statement that needs no explanations. The lips emerge as a graphic sign, bold, sensual, a gesture that vibrates with pop energy and transforms the wall into an immediate point of attraction. Their compact, bright shape catches the light and returns it with an intense, elegant, irresistible presence.

The work is made 100% in Italy from bioplastic 3D-printed material, a vegetable-origin material – such as sugarcane – chosen for its sustainability and for its remarkable ability to become, through extensive manual work, a perfectly smooth and glossy surface. Each sculpture is hand-sanded, puttied, painted and finished entirely by the artist, until achieving that impeccable finish that recalls ceramics while born from a natural, lightweight material.

In this special ROSSA edition, produced in 50 copies, color takes center stage: a full, bright, vibrant red that carries with it an immediate emotional impact and a visual strength typical of KIRAS language. The lips are lacquered in acrylic and protected by a transparent varnish that enhances their luminosity.

The artist’s philosophy is clear: to use simple, sustainable, environmentally friendly materials without sacrificing a powerful aesthetic impact. Each work is a small statement, an invitation to look beyond matter and to allow oneself to be surprised. Those who observe the sculpture often wonder if it is ceramic; the answer is no, it is bioplastic, but the visual effect is just as precious.
