Johan Scherft (born 1970) is a versatile Leiden-based artist, known for his hyper-detailed paper birds, atmospheric paintings, and mechanical automata. A graduate of the Royal Academy in The Hague (1993), he combines painting techniques with artisanal papercraft. His work is shown in galleries and often displays a realistic, nature-inspired style.

Johan Scherft (1970) is een veelzijdige Leidse kunstenaar, bekend om zijn hypergedetailleerde papieren vogels, sfeervolle schilderijen en mechanische automata. Afgestudeerd aan de Koninklijke Academie in Den Haag (1993), combineert hij technieken uit de schilderkunst met ambachtelijk papierwerk. Zijn werk is te zien in galeries en toont vaak een realistische natuurstijl.
