Description from the seller
Yellow gold pendant, Napoléon III era, 19th century.
Original model with a central mobile medallion, mounted on a finely worked openwork frame, with floral decoration and a lateral belt motif characteristic of the period. The disk rotates freely and features two faces engraved with distinct monograms, in an elegant style typical of the romantic taste of the 19th century.
A very slight nuance of gold with a subtle pinkish tint on the central flower, discreet and homogeneous with the whole. One of the faces bears a slightly recessed initial, with no notable impact on aesthetics.
Gold tested 18 carats by touchstone and acid
Dimensions with bail: about 3.7 cm x 2 cm
Thickness: about 0.6 cm
Weight: about 6.1 g
Good overall condition, with patina and light wear consistent with its age.
A jewel characteristic of the Napoléon III style, at once elegant and distinctive thanks to its swiveling mechanism and its two engraved faces.
