Description from the seller
The work unfolds through a rhythmic succession of horizontal white and blue bands that evoke the surface of the water observed from above. The blue areas, created with thick stratifications of color, form folds and reliefs that recall ocean currents or movements of the liquid surface. The painting matter thus becomes a narrative element, transforming the canvas into a dynamic and fluid space.
Within these currents small figures of fish in vivid tones — red, green, dark — appear, crossing the space in different directions. Their presence introduces a vital and unpredictable dimension, suggesting the continuous and spontaneous movement of aquatic life.
The white bands interrupt the visual flow as silent pauses, creating a rhythm alternating between fullness and emptiness, movement and suspension. In some of these spaces emerges the dark silhouette of a shark, an essential and almost symbolic presence that crosses the composition with calm and authority.
The painting becomes a reflection on the coexistence between energy and balance: the trajectories of the fish, the dominant presence of the shark, and the rhythm of the bands build an abstract landscape where nature manifests as a system of flows, encounters and distances.
