Mara. J XL - Amethyst Night

There exists an hour, just after sunset, when the sky is not yet black but the violet has already taken possession of everything. Amethyst Night inhabits exactly that hour. The pictorial matter accumulates like crystals, layered and precious, alternately dense purple and almost tangible lavender. In the middle of this violet veil, small coral red specks appear here and there like distant embers or wild berries — the only warmth in a world ruled by the regal cold of violet. Lower down, the dark leaves barely emerge, almost swallowed by the darkness, as if night were slowly reclaiming what belongs to it. It is a painting that does not shout: it whispers. And precisely for this reason, it is impossible not to listen to it.
