Censer - Red lacquer

A delightful red lacquer on paper maché koro and its bespoke hardwood stand, measuring circa 14cm in height without the stand and 16,5 in total height, finely pressed and carved to depict Hotei around the girdle, with mythical beasts´ heads as handles and a foo dog finial.

Condition: Overall in a presentable condition. Minor abrasions and a few chips under the rim of the lid, see pictures.

Note that the censer is made of flammable materials and as such is not suitable for burning incense.

This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
