________

In this work, Algo continues his exploration of emerging forms and perceptual memory, moving away from the chromatic violence of red to immerse in a monochromatic blue, almost liquid, immersion.

A figure progressively detaches from the background: a humanoid silhouette, floating, with stretched and indeterminate limbs. It seems suspended, as if weightless, between appearance and dissolution. This ambiguous presence evokes less an incarnation than a state — a trace of consciousness forming or disappearing.

The pictorial work here rests on:
• aggregation of broad, circular gestures
• translucent layers creating depth and vibration
• a central figure sketched, almost erased in the material

Blue dominates the composition entirely, oscillating between density and transparency. It evokes multiple imaginaries: water, dream, the subconscious. Unlike the dramatic frontal stance of some previous works, this canvas establishes an immersive, almost meditative atmosphere.

In the spirit of Arthur Schopenhauer’s reflections on representation and the world as perception, Algo here presents not a subject but the very emergence of looking. The figure is not imposed: it appears to the spectator, through a phenomenon akin to pareidolia.

This work can also be read in dialogue with Nietzsche’s dissolution of reference points: after the fall of fixed structures, what remains? Perhaps only unstable, floating forms, open to interpretation.

Thus the work oscillates between:
•gestural abstraction
•latent figuration
•psychic projection of the spectator

Presented in space, the canvas imposes a silent but enveloping presence. The square format reinforces the immersive field, while the restricted palette intensifies the sensorium.

This painting does not depict: it makes emerge. It invites the viewer to keep looking until something appears.
