Marie Amédro - Mouvement noir n°3

Marie's work explores the dialogue between abstract painting and contemporary calligraphy. In Chinese ink on paper, she develops a spontaneous gestural handwriting that she then transcribes onto canvas with acrylic paint. The integration of natural materials, such as sand or linen, slows the gaze and introduces a tactile dimension, thus creating a tension between movement, surface and silence. Her works thus offer a contemplative and meditative experience.
