This desk globe made of plaster, paper, wood and metal can be dated thanks to changes in toponyms on a global scale. Thus, Iran on our globe has not yet become Persia (which will happen in 1935) but Norway has already changed the name of its capital from Kristina to Oslo, which dates precisely from January 1, 1925. Also the kingdom of Siam became Thailand in 1939.

Ce globe du bureau en plâtre, papier, bois et métal peut être daté grâce aux modifications des toponymes à l’échelle mondial. Ainsi, l’Iran sur notre globe n’est pas encore devenue la Perse (ce qui adviendra en 1935) mais la Norvège a déjà changé le nom de sa capitale Kristina en Oslo, ce qui date précisément du 1er janvier 1925.
