Biography

Sandro Trotti was born on January 25, 1934 in Monte Urano (AP). Since 1984 one of his self-portraits has permanently appeared in the Vasari Corridor of the Uffizi in Florence. From 1957, the date of his first solo exhibition, to the present, there have been numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Among the main ones we recall: in 1982 a retrospective at Palazzo Bosdari in Ancona, curated by F. Solmi; in 1985 a retrospective at the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara, curated by F. Farina and C. Benincasa; in 1986 an exhibition at the Museum of San Paolo in Brazil of abstract works painted in 1961…
