The painting was created with a special and unusual technique. The artist does not use brushes for his art, but applies the acrylic paint directly with the hand onto the canvas. The paint is thinned very thin and poured onto unprimed cotton fabric, then massaged into the material. This allows the color to penetrate deeply into the fabric and no brushstrokes are visible. The artist repeats this process several times. The paintings consist of up to ten layers of color. This creates very fine color transitions and nuances that are difficult to reproduce faithfully in photos.
